Centura Hills Board Meeting was held Wednesday, July
14. Present were: Jim Berrie, Kellie Ruhter, Suzie Griffin, Marv Welty
and Shaun Willey. Absent: Junior Schuneman and Chuck Wellensiek.
Dan & Rhonda gave their respective reports. Minutes of all board minutes are located
at the clubhouse, ask staff to view.
Next meeting will be August 11, 2010 @ 7:00 p.m. at Pathway Bank
community room.
These monthly meetings are open to all members, and if you
have anything in question or to discuss, please contact a board member so you
may be put on the agenda.

via postal service must pick up their newsletter at the clubhouse. They will be available to pick up
anytime after July 30.
LADIES LEAGUE: Ladies league is every Tuesday with a
shotgun @ 6:00 p.m. President is Bobbie Durham, Secretary
– Suzie Griffin, Treasurer – Louise Ford. Centura
Hills Ladies League will be a hosting a “Rally for the Cure”
Scramble on Tuesday, August 3. The
72 ladies participating have paid $20 to Rally for the Cure and have received a
care package and will have a chance august 3rd for a new Cleveland
putter and also a gift certificate for a pair of golf shoes. All ladies joining us that evening that are
cancer survivors or patients are golfing for free. Our club could be featured on the
“Rally for the Cure” website as this is the first time hosting an
event and we have a full field. ALL LADIES THAT ARE GOLFING ON THAT
EVENING – WEAR PINK – GROUP PICTURE WILL BE SENT TO RALLY FOR THE
CURE. MEN’S
LEAGUE: Monday night scrambles will be held on
the first Monday of each month this summer. The next scramble will be held on
Monday, August 2. Sirloin steak
meal will be served for $12.00. Thursday
night scrambles will be held on the first Thursday of each month this
summer. The next scramble for Thursday
will be held on Thursday, August 5.

MONDAY NIGHT SCRAMBLES AND 30 MEALS FOR THURSDAY SCRAMBLE NIGHTS – IF YOU
WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU AND/OR GUESTS HAVE A MEAL – PLEASE SIGN UP IN
ADVANCE OTHERWISE TAKE YOUR CHANCES. COUPLES
LEAGUE: Thanks to everyone who volunteered to run
Couples league this summer, it went very smoothly. The last night of couple’s league
will be Friday evening, August 27.
Steaks and a variety of salads will be served. I do need a volunteer to run that last
night of league. Each Friday when
we have couples if at all possible, please call the clubhouse to sign up. It makes the volunteer’s job go
much smoother. Thank you in advance
for doing this. Food is
available each Friday also, but the same thing – please try to sign up if
you want food guaranteed. Only so
much will be made. ALL
MEN’S LEAGUE SCRAMBLES, LADIES FUN NIGHT AND COUPLES LEAGUE PLAYERS: To insure a well run scramble/fun night
it is imperative that you let the clubhouse know if you will be playing in the
events. The people that are
volunteering to run the event need your help – making up scorecards and
assign starting holes. Advance
notice on meals is also appreciated. JR.
GOLF LESSONS AND JR. ACADEMY: Great
group in both the academy and the junior lessons. Jr. Lessons have finished their 6
weeks and had a Fun Day with their parents. Thanks to everyone that participated in
Jr. Lessons and to those ladies that contributed to the snacks that were
served. Jr.
Academy kids are participating in Tournaments during the month of July. They have done very well in previous
tournaments. We will post those
kids names and medals at the end of the season. CENTURA
HILLS IS HOSTING A JR. TOURNAMENT ON MONDAY, AUGUST 9. I WILL NEED VOLUNTEERS TO BE STARTERS,
REGISTRATION TABLE, MARSHALLS, AND MONITERS FOR 7-11 YEAR OLDS. I WILL HAVE A SIGN UP SHEET IN THE CLUBHOUSE
MID- JULY OR JUST VISIT WITH ME IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE. THANKS, RHONDA ALSO
– JEN HANSEN THIS SUMMER HAS TAKEN THE JR. ACADEMY KIDS TO SEVERAL AREA
GOLF TOURNAMENTS AND CENTURA HILLS HAS BEEN VERY WELL REPRESENTED. THE DIRECTOR OF NEBRASKA JR. GOLF TOUR
IS ALLOWING OUR CENTURA HILLS YOUTH MEMBERS THAT DO NOT BELONG TO NEBRASKA JR.
GOLF TOUR, TO BE ABLE TO PAY A REDUCED PRICE TO PLAY IN OUR CENTURA HILLS
TOURNAMENT. Monthly

golfers attended the July Senior Scramble.
Thanks to Jim Berrie, Suzie Griffin and Tom Caspar for taking charge of
this scramble. The August scramble
will be moved to the third Wednesday of the month August 18 with registration
at 9:30 a.m. and a shotgun @ 10:00 a.m.
It is not necessary to sign up early, but if you’d like it helps
the clubhouse staff if you are able.
This helps know the number of carts to get out for the event. Call the clubhouse to let us know. All senior guests of Centura Hills will
pay $20.00 to cover fees, cart, and payout monies. All members of Centura Hills will pay
$4.00 towards payout monies. Any

Hills 3 Man Scramble: Sign
up now for the 3 Man scramble being played on Sunday, August 1, 2010. 9:00 a.m. shotgun. Details are posted on the main bulletin
board in the clubhouse. Sign up
with one of the staff. 1
Person Scramble: Earlier this spring we
tried to have a 1 person scramble but not get the numbers needed. The board has decided to try a Sunday
afternoon and block off several tee times and encourage members to try this
format. Tee times are blocked off
from 11:00 to 12 noon on Sunday, August 15. More details in the clubhouse on
bulletin board. Any questions
please speak with Rhonda. 3
Ladies Scramble: Sign
up now for the 3 Lady Scramble. The date is August 21 with a shotgun @ 9:00
p.m. Details are posted on the main
bulletin board in the clubhouse.
Sign up with one of the staff. Club
Handicap: Saturday, August 28 with a shotgun @
1:00 p.m. followed by horserace betting, contests, meal and karaoke. Karaoke will be from 8:00 to
midnight. Sunday, August 29 will
start with a shotgun @ 10:00 a.m. followed by meal and awards. STARTING SEPTEMBER 1ST
– NEW MEMBERS MAY JOIN CENTURA HILLS AT THIS YEAR’S PRICES AND
BELONG THE REMAINING MONTHS OF THIS 2010 AND ALL OF 2011. THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR NEW
