Hole #1 – Golfers usually need a couple of holes to get warmed up and #1 is just the type of hole that allows this. Although there is OB on the left and a deep rough to the right it is a hole that is designed to give players a lot of friendly bounces. #1 is a par 4 that plays straight at 348 yards and pars and birdies are common. One doesn’t necessarily need to hit driver as playing from the fairway should yield as excellent scoring opportunity.

Hole #2 – Another birdie hole or possible eagle. #2 plays straight east and is a par 5 that plays at 493 yards. This hole has become more difficult over the last 2 years with the addition of the fairway bunkers on the right and the two bunkers guarding the green. Ideally playing a draw off the fairway bunkers should lead to another scoring opportunity. The cardinal sin on this hole is to hit the ball left where there is an OB and deep rough. Players need to take advantage of these two starting holes.

Hole #3 – Now we enter the new addition where you will get to experience links golf. #3 is a difficult 432 yard par 4 dogleg right heading east. There is an OB right that is in play quite often. Getting lined up to hit your tee shot can be difficult because you can’t see the fairway landing area. Usually if you line up down the right side of the fairway and hit a fade you will be in great shape. Long hitters can cut the corner by hitting at the control box down the right side. There are bunkers guarding the left and right side of this green so accuracy is the key to your second shot if you are to reap a par or birdie.

Hole #4 – Still heading east #4 is another difficult par 4 that measures 412 yards. This hole doglegs left and has an OB left and right as well as deep rough on both sides. Line up down the middle or the right side of the fairway and hit a nice draw tee shot. Use CAUTION on your approach shot as there is a blind water hazard behind the green and to the left. Also there is very little room to the right of the green because of the OB.

Hole #5 –This is a fun hole and you get a chance to unwind. Tee it high and let it fly. #5 is a 478 yard short par 5 that heads west. There is a fairway bunker on the left for the big hitters. Although the hole is short, when the pin is tucked back right behind the horseshoe bunker that guards the right side of the green it is extremely difficult to get anything close to the hole. Take advantage of a great birdie opportunity on this hole.

Hole #6 - #6 is a short par three over a lake headed west playing at 152 yards. There is ample bailout room to the left for those weak of heart. But if you bailout you then have to play a second shot on to the green with the water hazard coming into play if you are just a bit long. The lake rally comes into play from the tee box when there is a back right pin placement.

Hole #7 – Back to the old course. The first leg of “Amen Bend”. #7 heads south (often into the wind) and would certainly qualify as a signature hole. A par 385 yards and a slight dogleg right it has decent length but the real difficulty is the tee shot and the intimidating second shot. There is no margin for error as there is an OB left and deep rough on the right with a fairway that slopes to left to right. Long hitters have to be careful not to miss the fairway to the left because there is tall rough over the hill that can easily come into play. The ideal tee shot would be down the left side of the fairway with a fade or straight down the middle. Playing a fairway wood or a long iron off the tee box may be a good choice. There is a creek that crosses in front of the green with an imposing bank. Don’t be short with your second shot but be aware of an OB behind the green, There is plenty of bailout room to the right of the green if you succumb to the pressure of #7. Par is a very good score as big numbers are abound.

Hole #8 – The middle leg of “Amen Bend’ this is another very difficult hole. #8 is a par 3 headed north and measures 220 yards. The length alone makes it difficult but there is also a creek on the right that likes to eat golf balls and tall rough on the left. Normally you need to carry the ball all the way to the green because it is usually soft in front and balls don’t release and bounce up on the green. Par is a great score here.

Hole #9 – The final leg of “Amen Bend”. #9 is a 370 yard par 4 that heads southwest. This is a scenic hole that sort of doglegs left and then back to the right behind the trees. The key to this hole is hitting a good tee shot. There is tall rough on the left and right as well as a creek on the right. To add to the difficulty the tee box lines the player up to hit the ball directly at the creek. The ideal tee shot is down the left side of the fairway which allows the green to open up. Club selection off the tee is critical. Any tee shot down the right side will bring the trees into play that guards the green. A good tee shot should yield a decent birdie opportunity.

Hole #10 – Another signature hole this is a great par 5. #10 heads northeast up the hill and measures 530 yards. There is a tree-lined creek running the entire length up the right side and a sharp dogleg right at the last 75 yards. Any tee shot up the right side will shorten the hole but it also brings the creek more into play. The perfect tee shot is up the left side of the fairway with a fade. This hole offers the proverbial risk/reward found in many good par 5’s. Long hitters will face a second shot of 200-225 yards and they must carry the creek to an elevated green. Remember to calculate the distance of your second and maybe third shot to the uphill elevation of the hole. Par is common but birdie is certainly attainable.

Hole #11 – This is a par 3 that heads straight east and measures 175 yard. There is an OB on the left and tee shots that miss the green right often bounce into the tall rough. Placement of your tee shot on to the big green is critical to have a birdie opportunity. There are two bunkers that guard this green however a good tee shot should yield an easy par.

Hole #12 – We head back to the new addition and things are about to get difficult. #12 could also qualify as a signature hole. It is a 464 yard par 4 sharp dogleg right with a lake down the right side of the fairway that will swallow stray tee shots. The ideal tee shot is up the right side of the fairway which should shorten the hole. Most players have mid-iron to a fairway wood for their second shot to a green that is difficult to hit. CAUTION do not miss your approach shot to the left as balls have a tendency to bounce hard left and go OB. Bogies or worse are very common. Par is an outstanding score.

Hole #13 – Another difficult long par 4. #13 heads straight east and measures 452 yards. There is OB left and right as well as tall rough. Line up to hit your tee shot straight down the middle. Most players have a mid-iron to fairway wood for their second shot. Par is an excellent score as bogies are the norm.

Hole #15 – This is the easiest hole you have seen in a while and you feel as though you can catch your breath. #15 heads straight south and plays to 374 yards. What a great design for a short par 4. There is OB left and a hidden fairway bunker down the left side at the 140 yard mark. There is also the large tree just off the fairway protecting the right side of the fairway. So hitting a straight tee shot just to the left of the tree is your key to success on this hole. The green is protected by a long bunker on the left and there is very little depth in the left half of the green. A great birdie chance with a good tee shot.

Hole #16 – The MONSTER! #16 heads west and plays to 628 yards. OB on the right really comes into play so aim down the center or left side of the fairway and let it fly. After a good drive a solid second shot should leave you 100-150 yards out. A lot of players miss the fairway left with their second shot so play farther right than it appears. The green is 35 yards from front to back so adjust your approach for pin placements. For a par 5 #16 is pretty stingy when it comes to birdies.

Hole #17 – Back to the old course. With the addition of a new tee box, #17 is a par 4 that plays 365 yards. A huge mouse-eared bunker has been added to protect the front right of the green. Avoid OB left and the trees right. Please respect the homeowners and don’t trespass onto their property. A good chance for a birdie awaits you here.

Hole #18 – WHAT A VIEW! A par 4 from an elevated tee that measures 367 yards with a great view of the Clubhouse that serves as a good aiming point of the tee box. This hole is mouthwatering to the golfer that hits a nice draw with their tee shot. There is a large bunker that guards the front right of the green. A tee shot down the right side is the safe shot but it may set up an awkward approach. There are several treacherous pin placements on this green however a great shot is often rewarded by cheers from their peers on the clubhouse deck overlooking the 18^th green. #18 is a good finishing hole that offers plenty of birdies and excitement.
